Frequently Asked Questions
Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) is Oracle's low-code platform for building enterprise web and mobile applications on the cloud. It provides a visual development environment, built-in data modeling with Business Objects, and seamless integration with Oracle Fusion Cloud applications and external REST APIs.
VBCS is Oracle's standalone low-code platform for building custom enterprise web applications from scratch, including data models, REST service integrations, and full application UIs. Visual Builder Studio (VBS) is specifically used for customizing existing Oracle Fusion Redwood pages. This course focuses on VBCS for building standalone applications.
No deep coding experience is required. Oracle VBCS is a low-code platform with drag-and-drop UI builders and visual Action Chain editors. Module 9 introduces JavaScript for advanced enhancements, but the core training is accessible to functional consultants and beginner developers.
This training is ideal for Oracle Fusion functional consultants, integration developers, and technical architects who want to build custom enterprise applications on Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service. It is also valuable for those already working with OIC who want to extend solutions with custom VBCS front-ends.
With VBCS, you can build responsive web applications such as custom approval portals, data entry forms, dashboards, and self-service applications that integrate with Oracle Fusion modules (SCM, HCM, Financials) or any external REST API. The platform supports business object-backed apps as well as service-connected apps.
VBCS Service Connections let you connect directly to Oracle Fusion REST APIs, enabling you to read and write data across Fusion modules. Module 5 covers creating service connections, mapping request/response payloads, and handling authentication — including connecting to live Oracle Fusion Cloud endpoints.
You get access to a preconfigured Oracle Fusion SaaS instance for integration scenarios covered in the course. The VBCS instance is configured as part of the training setup so you can safely practice every module step — from Business Objects to Action Chains — before applying skills on client projects.
Live sessions run Monday to Friday from 11 PM to 12 AM IST (29 Jun – 17 Jul 2026), with 15 sessions covering all 10 modules. Sessions are recorded so you can revisit them for 6 months. The schedule is structured to balance theory and hands-on practice each session.
